Oversees day-to-day operation of a specific territory regarding the sale and support of company products to resellers including Car Dealership Expeditors and Car Dealerships.
Identify sales opportunities within existing customer base, develop and execute sales plan to organically grow sales (50% of time)
Prospect, hunt and identify new customers. Develop and execute plan to win and sell to identified prospects (20% of time)
Spend time traveling with reseller’s sales team to train and guide them to affectively overcome objections and organically grow their sales of our products. (20% of time)
On-going supervision, evaluation and development of existing customer base; providing support, training and recommendations as required.
Apply focus to and meet goals pertaining to quotas, company assigned key initiatives and special promotions
Execute all national and regional quarterly promotions within the policies and objectives for those quarterly promotions
Manage channel business within assigned territory
Collect customer feedback, complaints and suggestions. Share those discoveries upward with the Product Development Team to help Directed succeed at manufacturing world-class products and solutions.
Ensures that all directed brands and products categories are properly represented and sold.
Actively participate in and represent Directed in tradeshows and other promotional events
Work with dealerships to resolve any product or customer service issues that may arise.
Report and detail competitive activity upward to product development
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year College or technical school (preferable) or a minimum of four years 12 volt experience and demonstrated sales success. Knowledge of company products required.
Position requires an individual with strong interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills.
Requires ability to dissect, assemble and process information which requires balancing company and customer needs.
Strong industry product knowledge for OEM and after-market transactions.
Ability to manage and develop multifaceted goals and objectives and to clearly communicate and present these to customers, co-workers and supervisor.
Individual must be able to present an appropriate company image as well as a demonstrate sensitivity and understanding of cultural diversity within the organization as well in the industry.
Must have ability to retain vast array of company information (i.e. parts, products, prices, etc.).
Must be an individual who can provide direction to customers that is directly in line with organizational goals and objectives.
Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license and a set minimum of liability in car insurance.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, trade or technical journals and procedures.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers and end users.
